CUT SICK
Cut Sick exists to create a space where individuality is honoured, care is intentional and transformation is treated as both an art form and a deeply human experience. Our mission is to build a salon space that prioritises community, accessibility and authentic self-expression. We believe that hair holds the power to change how we see ourselves in the world and that everyone deserves access to that kind of confidence, clarity and joy.
At Cut Sick, feeling good isn’t a privilege, it is a right. To support this belief, we operate with sliding-scale pricing and offer pay-what-you-can appointments, ensuring that financial circumstances never become a barrier to self-care. We also provide free haircuts for people preparing for job interviews, recognising that a fresh cut can be a stepping stone toward opportunity and dignity. Additionally, we proudly offer free appointments for folks beginning or exploring their gender journey, holding space with compassion, confidentiality, and respect for anyone navigating identity and expression.
Our purpose is to make every appointment a collaboration. A moment of pause, reflection, and creative exploration. Approaching each client with presence and care, crafting styles that align with their inner story and evolving sense of self. Through trauma-aware, inclusive practice, we aim to dismantle the pressures often tied to beauty spaces and replace them with warmth, belonging, and genuine connection.
Beyond the chair, Cut Sick is committed to community engagement, creative collaboration and uplifting diverse voices. We strive to be a hub of support, empowerment, and transformation. A place where people feel safe to “cut sick,” express themselves freely, and step back into the world feeling more aligned, grounded and seen.
With 15 years behind the chair, Liv Bellow has carved out a space in the hair industry where radical self-expression meets practical, affirming care. Liv is a hairdresser, artist and community builder who believes in the transformative power of a good haircut, not just as a service, but as a form of personal liberation.
Liv's work centres around freedom of self-expression and gender-affirming hair services, creating a welcoming, judgment-free space for all bodies and identities. With a long-standing commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, Liv's new venture Cut Sick reflects these values in action.
